BJP leader Kaustab Bagchi was attacked in Ward No. 16 of Barrackpore resulting in his car being vandalized and the occupants injured. The incident occurred in the Mandalpara area, where Trinamool Congress (TMC) activists gathered around Bagchi, chanting "Go Back" slogans.
Bagchi stopped his car upon seeing the crowd outside booth number 122. A confrontation ensued between the BJP leader and TMC workers, leading to pushing and shoving. As Bagchi and his team attempted to leave, their car, along with another accompanying vehicle, was vandalized.
